Well, this is one successful comebac...Jake Prince ! Well, this is one successful comeback if there ever was one.<br /><br />As far as prequels go, this one is a delight. Jake's personality is already there but it has yet to mature, to assert itself so as to become the unbending will Kitty (was it Tremaine ?) will have the honor to be faced with later on. <br /><br />I have to confess I fail to see why such stories do no have the favours of readers. <br />Omniscient narrator ? Why not ? <br />Male point of view ? Endlessly fascinating. The male psyche is a mystery to me and I'd like to know what goes through men's minds (the handful of times I dared ask a man what he was thinking about, the answer was "nothing". But I know there is more... What are they hiding ?) <br />Historical ? Come on ! That is fantastic. There are not many words that can be as evocative as "bodice", "corset" or "petticoat". <br />No romance ?
